Questions and answers
Do I have to deliver products myself?
No, people purchase from our online store, and we ship the product. The business relationship is essentially between SagaMedica and the customer, so the promoter can focus on promoting and telling new people about us to generate more leads.
The communication and further marketing is handled by us via newsletters. People buy our products again and again, so with time you can build a steady stream of income.
Which products do you sell?
We manufacture and sell top-class Icelandic natural health products. Our flagship product, SagaPro, helps people who have to urinate frequently. It's a real winner in the Icelandic market, is going through a clinical study and has wiped out competition from other established products. We have 20 years of in-house research to support our brands.
Soon we will also offer more products in cooperation with other Icelandic natural products manufacturers. That way, we can offer more products for you to promote.
What is the commission?
SagaMedica's Commission Structure
Definition.
The term „commission“ to the Promoter is based on a percentage share of the sales price to a third party of each product sold through the Promoter (excluding VAT, shipping and handling).
The Promoter shall receive the following commission when selling SagaMedica's own products or products branded with SagaMedica'strademark:
- 30% commission for the first purchase of such products by a third party
- 15% commission for continuing purchases by a third party
- 7% commission for all sales resulting from promoters that are registered with you
The Promoter shall receive the following commission when selling other supporting products:
- 15% commission for the first purchase by a third party
- 15% commission for continuing purchases by a third party
- 7% commission for all sales resulting from promoters that are registered with you
Manner of payments.
Payments of the commission to the Promoter shall be in USD, EUR, GBP or other currency as agreed between the parties. Payments will be made via bank transfer from Sagamedica to the Promoter, in accordance with bank information supplied by the Promoter to SagaMedica.
Time of payment.
The commission payment will be paid on the 15th calendar day of each month, for sales generated by the Promoter the month before, providing however that SagaMedica has received the sale price from the respective third parties and the earned commissions have reached the minimum amount of USD 300 – or the same amount in EUR or GBP (according to the currency exchange table of the Central Bank of Iceland, on the first day of every month).
SagaMedica reserves the right to alter the commission scheme at any time, without prior written notice.
Do I get commissions from other people's promotional efforts?
Yes, if you get another person to become a promoter, you get 7% of all sales generated directly by them.
And if they then get other promoters into the system, do I get commissions from that too?
The network is a 2-level system, so you only get commissions from yours and the next level. This way, all promoters are even. There is no hierarchy like in some other systems.
How often do I get paid?
Once a month, given that your commissions have reached a minimum amount.
What is the minimum amount?
300 USD or the equivalent in EUR or GBP.
How do I get paid?
Via bank transfer to your account.
How are people linked to me?
When people sign up through your page they are linked to you
What encourages people to go through my page?
When they sign in to the online store using your code, they get a 7% discount off all products and with time they will be eligible for extra discounts and prizes. So, participating with you is better for them in all ways.
Can I make a website to promote your products?
No, promoters are not allowed to post material about our products on their own site. We are working on an addition, which will make it possible for promoters to direct people to their own personal portal. Internet marketing is both sensitive and tricky and promoters must stick to our guidelines.
Can I post material on Facebook or other social media sites to promote your products?
Yes, but only material that is directly from us, and unchanged.
Can I make a Facebook page about your products?
No, promoters may not make any dedicated areas online about any of our brands, registered or otherwise. This includes Facebook pages, Flickr accounts etc.
Can I email other people about your products?
Of course, but promoters are not allowed to spam others. This includes sending unwanted and unwarranted emails to people.
Is this a pyramid scheme?
No, you get commissions from actual sales and the focus is on building business. Also, this is a two level system (a form of MLM), which makes pyramids impossible. Adding to that, people don't get commissions for getting others into the system, which is one of the features which pyramid schemes are known for. And, you're not required to buy anything!

Background:

SagaMedica received a grant from the Icelandic Ministry of Industry, through the Icelandic Centre for Research, to develop a "Promoter Network" meant to directly involve individuals around the world in the promotion of Icelandic natural products. The network incentivises people, allowing them to receive commissions from online sales generated from their promotional effort.
